Ring Bearer Pillows with Heart Pattern

White lace with light blue pillow

Today I’ll show you the first ring bearer pillows from my new collection. Look forward to more elegant and luxurious pillows during the next few weeks!

Some of the words that I had in mind when deciding what materials to use and what patterns to knit:
Love
Elegance
Wedding rings
Luxury

I decided on 6 patterns that are traditional and signify love, trust and happiness. At the same time they are elegant and display the wedding rings beautifully. Since wedding rings are the most important rings in a persons life then I will only use the best materials for my ring bearer pillows. Look forward to the softest lace wool yarn, cashmere and silk.

The first pattern is a heart made out of nupps. The heart symbol has signified love since the 15th century and so it is perfect to showcase the wedding rings that are also a symbol of endless love.

The pillow comes with white, natural white or light blue lace over white, natural white or light blue pillow. Custom orders with your own color requests are welcome.

Two New Lace Ring Bearer Pillows

lace bridal ring bearer pillow natural white by Artanis Wedding Lace Two more lace ring bearer pillows to show you today.

The first is natural white lace over dark red pillow. The pattern is a traditional Estonian lace pattern inspired by paw prints.

The second one is dark red lace over dark red pillow with heart pattern.

Both of them are 12x12cm (4,7×4,7 in) without lace and 20x20cm (7,9×7,9 in) with lace.

Lace Ring Bearer Pillow – Brownish Red

ring bearer pillow_artanis wedding lace_brownish red_heart pattern And here it finally is the first ring bearer pillow. It is perfect for bringing some colour to the wedding as it is brownish red knit lace on top of natural white cotton pillow. It is actually not the very first one I finished but I like this pillow very much (it is the only one so far with nupps in the lace edge) and so it got the honor to be featured first.

The idea of knitting ring bearer pillows came from a good acquaintance. We were both in a seminar together and I told the participants that when I knit wedding shawls and bridal scarves I do smaller samples of the pattern first and I don’t know what to do with the finished samples. And, she said that why not to make them into ring bearer pillows.

I went home, thought a bit and after that, I have knitted many ring bearer pillows and loved doing it. When I knit them I imagine their journey towards the waiting bride and groom with the rings attached to them and it is a very happy and intense feeling and I try to knit a bit of that feeling into the pillow.

I have several knit lace ring bearer pillows waiting for their sewn cotton pillows (I will sit down with my thread and needles one of these days – I promise) and then need their pictures taken (a sunny day please). After that there will be a long awaited flood of posts about ring bearer pillows here.

Bridal Scarf – Heart Pattern

Wedding Scarf - Heart Pattern - Artanis Wedding LaceI was browsing through “The Haapsalu Scarf” book when I saw a pattern I immediately felt would look amazing with a bride gown. It had two different small patterns and a big border, but the border didn’t seem quite right. The previous pattern in the book had a border with hearts on it and so I combined the two scarves to form the perfect scarf for summer brides.

I love nupps (special bobbles), in my opinion they make the scarves more dignified and warmer. But by combining the two scarves I had eliminated all nupps from this bridal shawls pattern. So, I just added some 🙂 And here is the result:

Material: 100% soft wool, cobweb weight (1400 m in 100 g; 1531 yards in 100g)
Color: Natural white
Size: approximately 67×108 cm (26,4×42,5 in)

This bridal scarf is pretty small and light and is therefore a perfect accessory for bringing out the natural beauty of the summer bride. If you want scarves that would also keep you warm in the chilly evenings then look at the rest of my bridal scarves
